Based in Romsey (this role is based 1 or 2 days per week in the office), FRC employ 44 people, turning over around £12m in professional fees with this set to increase quite substantially in the next financial year.
FRC are an extremely entrepreneurial business, not scared of change and this person will need to be of like mind. They actively encourage their people to contribute new ideas and in this role in particular, a commercial mindset where you can spot deals and opportunities in the market, even beyond their current service offering, would be of great benefit.
They are looking to recruit a Commercial Director to manage a team of 15 (both direct and indirect reports) consisting of quantity surveyors, building surveyors and fire engineers to effectively act as lead consultant, having a key input on new business deals, negotiating fees, ensuring all contracts are formed correctly and driving projects forward from a programme perspective, ensuring key milestones are hit.
A large part will be understanding resource allocation, forecasting what will be required at certain points and what skills and experiences are needed in good time to allow projects to run smoothly.
Beyond this role, there are new offices in the pipeline that will be opening and there will be a variety of avenues that will open as the company expands not just it’s geographical footprint, but service lines as well – leveraging off their extensive list of existing relationships.
